David Hockney's 'Gay Utopia' Was a Sinister Masterclass in Flouting the Law (and Your Morals)
So, back in the day when being gay was basically a death sentence, this dude David Hockney decided to go ahead and paint a world where all the dudes were getting down with each other - literally. Because, why not? The law said no, society said no, but Dave just kept on painting those hunky, half-naked men doing their thang. And honestly, we're kinda impressed by his boldness (or reckless abandon, depending on how you look at it). I mean, who needs boundaries when you can just break all the rules and make art that's so woke, it'll give you a headache? Not David Hockney, that's for sure.
