The once-proud host of The Late Show decided to go out with a whimper, not a bang, inviting Sir Paul McCartney to join him for the most epic fail of a finale. Who needs closure or a sense of accomplishment when you can waste your time singing a mediocre Beatles song? The only thing more cringeworthy was probably the audience's awkwardly forced applause.
